St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary - News Releases News Release St Vladimir's Chorale Announces 2005 Winter Tour of Florida

Crestwood, NY—A talented singing group—the St Vladimir’s Seminary Chorale—will make a tour of Florida in January 2005, giving concerts at ten different Orthodox parishes throughout the state. The Chorale is made up of eleven students currently enrolled at the seminary, both men and women, who will perform a selection of Eastern Orthodox hymns. Each performance is open to the public. All are welcome!

This tour will give participating students an opportunity to connect with the Orthodox Church on a local level before the start of the spring 2005 semester. It will also give local parishes the unique chance to meet young people who are in the midst of preparing to serve the Church. The participating students also hope to inspire other young people to consider an Orthodox theological education. Since the first seminary octet was organized in 1962, over twenty such singing groups have made special tours to local parishes across the country.
