Crestwood, NY—St Vladimir's Seminary will host the Twenty-second Annual Fr Alexander Schmemann Memorial Lecture on January 30, 2005 at 7:30 PM in the Metropolitan Philip Auditorium. This lecture series is held in honor of Fr Alexander Schmemann, renowned theologian who served as dean of St Vladimir's from 1962 until his death in 1983. Fr Kishkovsky currently holds leadership positions in: the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas (SCOBA); International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC); the World Council of Churches; the Special Commission on Orthodox Participation in the WCC; the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA; the Europe Forum of Church World Service; the Christian Churches Together in the USA (CCT); the US Conference of Religions for Peace (USCRP); the World Conference on Religion and Peace (WCRP); the Research Center for Religion and Human Rights in Closed Societies (formerly Religion in Communist Dominated Areas); and the Appeal of Conscience Foundation.
