St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary - News Releases News Release Deborah Belonick of St Vladimir's Seminary to Be Guest on Orthodox Radio: Motherhood and Feminism

Crestwood, NY—How do we understand motherhood as it relates to present-day feminism? Deborah Belonick will speak to such issues as guest on Come Receive the Light's May 8, 2004 radio program. Ms Belonick, associate editor at SVS Press and graduate of St Vladimir's Seminary's Master of Divinity program, is a published author, lecturer, and retreat leader. Her Master of Divinity thesis, Feminism in Christianity: an Orthodox Christian Response, was published by the Orthodox Christian Publication Center as part of their "Contemporary Life" series.

Come Receive the Light—a radio program broadcast weekly in twenty different cities—makes it their mission "to spread joy, hope and salvation in Jesus Christ, while exploring Orthodox Christianity in contemporary society." The program has featured many SVS speakers to date.
