CRESTWOOD -- A dozen prospective students and their families came from all parts of the country to participate in an open house at SVS from November 13-15. The group experienced seminary life first-hand by spending several nights on campus, attending classes, worshipping in the seminary chapel, and dining with students and faculty. This year their visit coincided with the annual seminary community thanksgiving meal. Members of the faculty and administration provided a guided tour of campus as well as information sessions on academic programs, the application process, and financial aid. Dr Albert Rossi, director of field education, spoke to the group about ministry and what they should expect if they choose to become a student at SVS.

The seminary holds this event in both the fall and spring semesters and encourages all who are interested in studying at SVS to come. The spring Open House will be held on March 20-21, 2004. Those interested should contact Fr Steven Belonick at info@svots.edu.
