St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary - Press Releases Press Release Annual Christmas Retreat

Crestwood, NY - St Vladimir's Seminary is hosting its annual Christmas Retreat December 26-28 on the seminary campus. High school and college students between the ages of 16-22 are invited to participate.

This yearâs theme, "Living a Christian Life in a Secular World," will be developed in three presentations: "Living in Tension: In the world, but not of the world." by Dr Peter Bouteneff, Assistant Professor of Dogmatics at the seminary; "Survival in the Secular World" by Fr Timothy Blumentritt, Lecturer in Pastoral Theology at the seminary; and "Beyond Survival: Witnessing in the Secular World" by George Hazlaris, a graduate from Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline, MA and currently a district director for the Office of Youth for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.
