St Vladimir’s Seminary warmly invites all to attend the Thirty-fifth Annual Orthodox Education Day scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2004. This year's theme is "I Have Chosen You: Reflections on John 15:16."

This annual outdoor event draws large groups of people from Orthodox parishes all over the country for a day of worship, education, fellowship, and a variety of ethnic foods. St Vladimir’s Bookstore sells books at a special Education Day discount and children are drawn to the expansive activities tent set up especially for them.

Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, presided by His Beatitude, Metropolitan HERMAN, primate of the Orthodox Church in America and president of the seminary, will begin at 9:30 am. Afternoon workshops exploring various aspects of the day’s theme will follow.

St Vladimir’s is pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker, His Eminence, Archbishop DMITRI of Dallas and the South (OCA).  The choir of St George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester, Massachusetts, will sing the responses during the liturgy.

Orthodox Education Day is free of charge, open to the public, and will take place rain or shine. Also see the news release announcing this year's Orthodox Education Day.

Visit this announcement page as Education Day approaches as it will be updated with information on the day’s schedule, workshops, speakers, and exhibitors.
