The Gospel in America Today

A Full Day of Prayer, Fellowship, and Educational Events

The Gospel in America Today is the theme for this year's Orthodox Education Day, to be held at St. Vladimir's Seminary (Crestwood, NY) on Saturday, October 4, 1997. Education Day this year will commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of St Innocent, Enlightener of the Aleuts and Apostle to America. The Orthodox Church in America is celebrating 1997 as the Year of St Innocent.

St. Vladimir's Seminary is located 20 miles north of central Manhattan (30 minutes by train from GCT on the Metro-North Harlem Line) in Westchester County

Fr. Paul Nadim Tarazi, SVS Professor of Old Testament, will deliver the keynote address for the day. SVS faculty members and others will make additional presentations and conduct discussion groups on issues related to the theme.
