St Vladimir's Seminary prides itself on its international student body. This diversity provides a unique and rich blend of different people, cultures, and educational experience. Students come from the Middle East, Russia, Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America. This international flavor at St Vladimir's Seminary helps to encourage dialogue, valuable exchange, and a sense of unity among students of all nations.
An international student seeking admission must submit a statement from the appropriate agency of their national church endorsing their educational plans and indicating, where possible, what type of service they are expected to render after graduation. Applicants whose native language is not English are required to give evidence of proficiency in the English language before their application can be considered. The usual basis for evaluation is the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of the Educational Testing Service, Box 955, Princeton, NJ 08540. The seminary's TOEFL Institute Code is: #2804.
In addition, by INS regulations, international applicants must demonstrate that sufficient funds are available to cover all expenses including travel expenses to and from the United States as well as educational and other expenses in the United States. For specific information and requirements, applicants are referred to the Academic Catalog and to the information sheet on the forms page of this site. Since financial aid from the seminary for international students is very limited, applicants should begin investigating outside sources of support well before they expect to enroll.
International applicants are reminded that federal law strictly limits off-campus employment in the United States. |
